Telegram proxy for iPhone
Tap the button on this iPhone — Telegram opens and offers to turn the proxy on. Nothing to install.
Start with the regular MTProto proxy: it works in any Telegram version. If it does not connect, try WebProxy — it runs over port 443 like ordinary HTTPS and already works on all platforms.
The proxy is being set up — meanwhile fresh proxies are posted in the channel: @proxii
How to connect
- Tap “Connect on iPhone” above. If the page is open on another device, tap “Copy link” and send it to your Saved Messages in Telegram.
- In Telegram tap “Connect Proxy”. You will see the server, the port and the secret before you confirm.
- Check Settings → Data and Storage → Proxy: “Use Proxy” is on and the server says “connected”.
If Telegram did not open
- Install Telegram from the App Store and sign in — a proxy cannot be turned on without an account.
- If the page is open inside another app's browser, open it in Safari and tap the button again.
- Still nothing? Tap “Copy link”, paste it into Saved Messages and tap it in the chat.
Add a proxy manually
Open Settings → Data and Storage → Proxy, tap “Add Proxy”, choose MTProto and enter the server, port and secret from the link. Copy the secret in full: one missing character and the proxy will never connect. iPad works the same way, but its proxy list is separate — add the link there too.
How to tell it works
The chat list header shows the usual title instead of “Connecting…”, and a shield icon appears next to it. Pictures in busy channels load normally. WebProxy works on iPhone too, in the current version of Telegram.
Not working on iPhone?
Tap the button again for a fresh link — the previous server may be busy. Then try WebProxy, update Telegram in the App Store and turn off any other VPN while testing.
If it works on Wi-Fi but not on mobile data, the carrier may only allow whitelisted sites, and no proxy will pass. A VPN for the whole iPhone helps — try it with the button under the posts in @proxii.
Posts in the channel are in Russian.
Questions
Do I need an app from the App Store?
No. The proxy is built into Telegram; the link is enough.
How do I turn the proxy off?
Settings → Data and Storage → Proxy, switch off “Use Proxy”. The server stays in the list for later.
Will the proxy slow down other apps?
No. Only Telegram goes through the proxy; everything else on the iPhone connects directly.
